The SONY portable radio is a PLL (Phase Locked Loop) synthesizer system with quartz control and microcomputer for easy fine tuning and digital broadcast reception. Fifteen FM/LW/MW and SW bands (1-12) provide worldwide coverage. The receiver has a tuning indicator; MW tuning step switch for 9kHz or 10kHz; smooth sound level control; sound tone switch to news or music; alarm clock switch to radio or buzzer; box for batteries 4 x AA 1.5V; headphones connector (minijack); recording connector (minijack); 6V DC external power connector. Made in Japan, approximately 1980. The condition is very good. Not expensive for vintage connoisseurs. Bargaining is appropriate.
